Personal interests: New York offers a wealth of entertainment and cultural opportunities, and I try to take advantage of as many as I can. I am a “Met” fan in the full meaning of the word: the New York Mets are my favorite baseball team, and I enjoy going to the Metropolitan Opera and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. In addition, I enjoy running, and like to read history and biography books. I am currently reading New York, New York: How the Apartment House Transformed the Life of the City (1869-1930) by Elizabeth Hawes. I am active in several community and professional groups including: president, Charlton Street Block Association; trustee, Greenwich Village Society for Historic Preservation; member and former treasurer, American Society of Journalists and Authors.
